Master under 500GRT

This Master under 500 GRT course is designed to provide maritime personnel with the knowledge, competence, and operational understanding required to safely command small commercial vessels in accordance with STCW and IMO requirements.

The course covers navigation principles, ship handling, coastal operations, collision prevention regulations (COLREG), cargo operations, maritime safety procedures, emergency response, communication systems, and leadership responsibilities required for masters operating vessels under 500 Gross Registered Tons.

Participants will also gain practical understanding of bridge resource management, voyage planning, stability awareness, pollution prevention procedures, and safe operational practices for domestic and international maritime operations.

This training is intended for officers and seafarers seeking certification and competency development for command responsibilities on small commercial vessels. The course is delivered in compliance with applicable STCW Convention standards, IMO regulations, and recognized maritime industry best practices.
