About Course

ECDIS
This training module provides comprehensive instruction on the operation and management of Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) in accordance with STCW and IMO requirements. Participants will learn how to: • Operate ECDIS equipment safely and efficiently • Understand electronic navigational charts (ENCs) and chart corrections • Plan and monitor voyages using ECDIS functions • Configure safety settings, alarms, and route checks • Interpret navigational data and sensor integration • Identify ECDIS limitations and common operational errors • Apply bridge resource management principles during navigation • Maintain compliance with international navigation regulations Practical simulator exercises are included to develop confidence in voyage planning, route monitoring, and safe navigation using modern electronic chart systems.
